Hi everyone. It’s been quite some time since my last post. My apologies for that. There’s been a lot going on at our home and so I needed this time to regroup and rebuild. As many of you know, our family suffered a huge loss that left a big hole in our heart and lives. While we are still adapting to survive, on a daily basis, I felt the need to move forward and begin a new journey.
Through this tragedy I learned a few things. I learned to not take anything for granted. I learned to take each day, one step at a time, and to live in the moment. I learned to make the most of each day and the importance of being present.
As I needed time to heal, I could not over extend myself. That meant that somethings, like blogging, were put on hold. To kick off my new journey, I changed careers. While I enjoy the challenges it brings, it has given me less flexibility. Previously I was able to blog during the day, however now I don’t have that luxury.
Since cooking and baking are my way of disconnecting from everything –my stress release– I’ve been experimenting by trying new things. I’ve also tried incorporating new foods into our lives. This has been a bit challenging. Some family members are more accepting of this than others, but I will continue to persevere.
At the suggestion and support of some friends, I have decided to undertake this blog again. I hope that you will join me in this journey.
